We are seeking a highly skilled CTO with a storied history in the technological sector and executive leadership. The CTO will be assigned to the optimization and strategic direction of the technological advancements along with the efficacy of the device’s impairment screening ability. The CTO will play an important role in forecasting technological budgets, providing innovative solutions, planning contingencies and being able to present a thorough and detailed technological overview to investors. The CTO should be able to communicate effectively, plan realistic goals and maintain a succeeding attitude.
The CTO will report directly to the CEO. The CTO will be the senior technical representative and visionary for the company with investors, customers and other relevant stakeholders; making decisions that will impact the current and future operations and growth of the company.



  • Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company.

  • Taking executive decisions on the direction of the company’s technology.

  • Chief architecting SaaS products.

  • Assess, build, lead and motivate the technical teams, both internal and outsourced, in relation to constantly changing business dynamics

  • Initiating and aligning research & development goals.

  • Developing and implementing forward thinking strategic and operational plans for research and development.

  • Providing executive team bi-weekly updates on technological tasks.

  • Compiling comprehensive, accurate technical documentations and/or reports as needed.

  • Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological innovations.

  • Recruiting, selecting and managing the expansion of technological team.

  • Ensuring that the technological resources meet the company’s short and long-term needs.

  • Mentor team members in areas of expertise.

  • Managing technology budgets and time frames.

  • Staying on top of technology trends and developments.

  • Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.

  • Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook when looking at secondary markets.


  • Minimum Engineering Degree, with a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field preferred

  • 3+ years working in a technological role.

  • 1+ year managerial experience.

  • Expertly skilled with 3D modelling software (i.e. Solid Works, AutoCAD Fusion).

  • Expertly skilled as an Embedded Computer Vision Expert.

  • Expertly skilled in Python and C++.

  • High degree of Computer Vision experience in OpenCV.

  • High degree of experience in debugging and optimizing algorithms.

  • High degree of knowledge in Machine Learning concepts. Able to design and validate machine learning models (both in theory and application) and experience with advanced topics (including Probabilistic Graphical Models [convolutional nets, autoencoders, etc] Sequence Labeling [RNN and LSTM], Manifold Learning [encoding and dimensionality reduction of non- Gaussian data], and Semi-supervised Learning).

  • Experience with Data Security and Data Encryption would be an asset.

  • Excellent Communication skills.

  • Excellent Leadership skills.

  • Ability to delegate efficiently.

  • Ability to adapt to the fast-paced and sometimes, ambiguous nature of a start-up (start-up experience preferred).
